Zagazig University in conjunction with Al-Obor Academy organize the first economic conference : "Prospects of the Egyptian Gulf economic cooperation between reality and expectations in light of the outputs of the conference of supporting the Egyptian economy in the period from 29 April till May 2, 2015 in Sharm El Sheikh, under the auspices of Dr./ El-Sayed Abd El-Khaliq, Minister of Higher Education, Dr./ Ashraf Al-Shehhi, President of the University of Zagazig and general supervision of Dr./ Abd El-Hakim Nour El-Din, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr./ Khalid Abd El-Bari, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research and rapporteur of the conference Dr./ Abd Allah Al-Dahshan, Chairman of Al-Obor Academy Management, Dr./ Abd El-Hakim El-Tahawy, Dean of the Institute of Asian Studies , and coordinators of the conference, Dr./ Mohamed Al-Shawadfi, and Dr./ Ahmed Mashour, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture.

Dr./ Ashraf Al-Shehhi, the University President said that the conference discusses four themes: firstly the mutual strategic depth between Egypt and countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, historically and politically, Secondly: the economic features of the Egyptian Gulf development experiences, and the thirdly: a future strategic vision of the Egyptian Gulf Economic Cooperation . The fourth theme discusses the Egyptian Gulf economic integration (opportunities and challenges).
