In a scientific conference today at the University of Zagazig , the faculty of Medicine launches an initiative to vacate the governorate of Sharkia from hepatic viruses


The Faculty of Medicine at Zagazig University today in collaboration with the Directorate of Health and Population, Sharkia, and the National Commission for the treatment of Viral Hepatitis, and the hepatic Assembly for chemotherapy and hepatic infections began an initiative to vacate the governorate of Sharkia from hepatic viruses within the events of the scientific conference entitled "Towards a better society free of hepatic viruses " under the auspices of Dr./ Ashraf Al-Shehhi, University President, and Dr./ Said Abd El-Aziz, Governor of Sharkia in the presence of Dr./ Essam Amer, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sharqia and Major General Tariq El-Harouny, Assistant General Secretary of the governorate of Sharkia as a deputy of the governor and Dr./ Hamed El-Qanawati, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs on behalf of the university president and Dr./ Gamal Esmat, Head of Viral Hepatitis Centers in Egypt and the architect of the National Strategy to Combat Viral Hepatitis.Participants in the conference are elite of professors and doctors at the Egyptian universities, doctors at the Ministry of Health and health insurance, dentists, nurses and staff at university hospital academic, governmental and private.


Dr./ Tariq El-Borompoly, Dean of the college said that this initiative is the beginning of a dream must become true, the importance of the conference comes within the college effort to raise health awareness for all citizens and achieve the dream of a society free of hepatic viruses which affect negatively on the health of a large proportion of the sons of Egyptian society and strain the limited state budget which became a real threat for national security and this is a good motive to make Egypt as a whole not just the governorate of Sharkia free of this disease, and we call that the efforts of Doctors Union, the Ministry of Health, the university and the community must come together to raise the important of Egypt


Dr./ monkz Motee, Chairman of the Conference added that during the lectures and discussions there was some focusing on the most important topics, including methods of infection, how to avoid them, the role of the Ministry of Health in the fight against the infection of hepatic virus and how to increase their effectiveness, also the massive developments in the field of treatment of virus C will be reviewing especially because we are at the beginning of the use of direct antivirals, that its initial results refers a cure rate exceeding 90%.
